Vipin Gopal is the Enterprise Vice President of Clinical Analytics at Humana.
In this role, he is responsible for the organization that develops and
applies big data analytics to advance Humana’s clinical strategy, operations,
quality and outcomes. Dr. Gopal has an extensive track record of creating business value with advanced analytics, and has led analytic organizations in multiple Fortune 100 companies ranging from industrial conglomerates to healthcare over the past 20 years.

Dr. Gopal obtained his doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University and B. Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, both in engineering, and has an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business.  He was awarded the Analytics Leadership Award by Kelly School of Business in 2015, in recognition of innovative adoption of analytics within corporations.  Dr. Gopal has served on the organizing/advisory committees of many international analytic conferences, and has about 50 peer-reviewed presentations/publications.  More recently, he was the Chairperson of the World Congress Population Health Analytics Summit in 2016 and delivered the Opening Plenary at the National Predictive Modeling Summit in 2013.  Dr. Gopal is active in the community and is currently Chair of the Advisory Board of Greater Louisville International Professionals (GLIP), and is a member of the Board of Directors of Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) Foundation.
